SEO Keywords: How to Combine Meta Tags with Content PDF Print E-mail
Written by Robert Nimylowycz

February 2, 2009 - Using Meta Tags correctly is vital to achieving top ranking on SEO keywords. Having good content is another essential ingredient for high SEO keyword rankings. However, using both your content and meta tags combined correctly is a sure-fire way to achieve the top rankings you desire.

For the purpose of this article, we will focus on the meta tag “keywords”, although it must be noted that the meta tag “description” is also very important.

The SEO keywords you use in your meta tag should be used frequently throughout the content of the same webpage. For example, if you own a pizza website, and your main keyword is “pizza”, then you had better have the word “pizza” listed several times in your content.

SEO Keywords: Know Your Competitors PDF Print E-mail
Written by Robert Nimylowycz

January 30, 2009 - While it goes without saying that a company must continuously check the rankings of their SEO keywords, it is also a must for companies to check on their competitors rankings as well. And while all companies know who their main business competitors are, their SEO keyword competitors may be a flying under the radar.

For example, a Google search of “burgers” does not show McDonald’s, Burger King or Wendy’s on the first page. Instead, you’ll see Burger Hut, a small chain in California with five locations. So, while McDonald’s wouldn’t consider Burger Hut as a main competitor nationally, they are competitors for their SEO marketing strategy.

The first step for achieving a high keyword ranking is to identify your true SEO keyword competitors, and then manage your SEO accordingly.

Written by Fred St. John
January 24, 2009 – In the previous article, “SEO Services: Choosing the Right SEO Company part 1” we talked about asking an SEO company for references, time length of project and prices per keywords.  For the second and final part on “How to Choose the Right SEO Company”, we will discuss the minimum amount of information an SEO Company should provide about your project and general information that should be discussed with the SEO service company.

Once you have found an SEO company that meets the SEO references guidelines as well as the time frame for the estimated results and the prices, the next step is to discuss with them what your business is about and your client´s target demographics.

This is important because it will help decide which SEO keywords to target as well as give the SEO Company a chance to see whether they can meet your expectations.

SEO Website Design 101: Making Each Page Count PDF Print E-mail
Written by Lindsay Whitehouse

January 27, 2009 – In general, selling your SEO services to a company in need of SEO for their website is fairly easy.  It is particularly easy when it is to a business that does not know anything about SEO, website design or programming.  The tough part however, is to explain to that business what needs to be done to convert their site into an SEO friendly website.

How do you convince a business that some website redesign could help in their SEO quest for top keyword positioning?  What does it take to convince a business that their home/index page is not the most important conversion page in their website? To explain to them that it is merely a glamorized site map with fancy graphics meant to catch the user´s attention.

The truth of the matter is that a website visitor will not sign up for your services or buy your product after only seeing a website´s home page.  No, a visitor will usually browse thru at least 4 to 5 pages and click on the back button a few times before making his or her decision.

January 20, 2009 – The dreams of many online businesses is to become an online sensation and cater to a wide variety of clients around the world.  It´s a nice goal for any company to strive for and achieving this goals starts on a local level.

Local clients should always be the first focus of a new online business because how can a business expect to become an online success if they do not even have a niche in their local online market.

In terms of SEO, the personalization of Google searches are such that now, Google actually takes in consideration the user´s IP address meaning that local online businesses will do better locally. It is only logical that a business should then start to popularize itself on a local level first.
